ok so here's pix from 'one of my excuses' of why i haven't posted much (ok, nearly, at all) this summer..since we moved in our new house at end of may, we've spent 2 weeks in MS, week & 1/2 in destin, & a week at disney...so our home feels still a bit unfamiliar & although every box is unpacked, i have still tons of decorating i want to do...so with all that said IM SO GLAD WE'RE HOME FOR GOOD! (at least for now :) enjoy the 'micka mouse' pix...
waiting for our airplane... we had a stop in birmingham on the way to orlando, which brock & i were kinda dreading but it turned out awesome for the kids because they got 2 takeoffs & 2 landings which they loved! the flight home was not near as fun...the kids were fabulous on the plane but we hit thunderstorms as we came into nashville.. our plane touched down for landing & took right back off.. leading us straight back into the clouds with the lightning (this mama was secretly flippin out!) with no explanation of what/why we finally landed after a looparound & had to wait on the plane until the lightning stopped...now we had been up since 4 am aaaand mia had dance tryouts at 1, so i kept recalculating in my head 'worse case scenario's' on how we could all squeeze in unpacking & a nap!!
i hope he doesn't feel too at home in the pilots seat!...i'm hoping he'll pick a nice, safe job when he's older..think-accountant, mailman...but i'm sure there's no chance in that...

knox feeling super apprehensive about so many 'weirdos' in costumes...the only way he'd be in a picture with them is if we held him as far away as possible..
...but knox was super sweet with snow white, he just stared at her & handed her his autograph book, saying "coder my paper"
brix found this all too tiny lizard at epcot...i didn't even know lizards were born so small!
at our pace, knox was squeezing in naps anywhere he could...this one in the hotel lobby lol

with sooo many souvenirs everywhere you look, b & i knew we had to come up with a game plan so we didn't leave overloaded & broke...so we told kiddos that on the very last day, they could each pick out their favorite thing...knox immediatly went for the toystory cars, brix picked a woody hat & toystory watch, & mia...well lets just say i cried over this one...she wanted a princess dress so badly to wear to the parade that afternoon...& MANY friends had warned me to pack our own princess dress to avoid buying one..i chose not to thinking it wouldn't be that big of a deal to her...boy, was i wrong! it's alllll she talked about but after getting to the store & they were 70 bucks, i thought 'no way!' (knowing she would only wear it for the parade & she had 5 more just like them at home!!...so after explaining to her they were more $$ than we thought we should spend, yadda yadda yadda...i braced myself for the meltdown...wait for it... wait for it..."ok mom, i understand, i'll look for something else "...oh gosh, i started bawling! "how could i deny our only girl a princess dress!!...at disney world of all places!...& she won't even have one for the parade!!"
but after i overcame my mommy guilt, i was super proud & she ended getting a princess doll that she still hasn't stopped toting around..
so glad we went, but i think b & i will be just fine if we don't see this place for another 10 years! okay, maybe 5...
