first...days of school...

getting out the door for brax's first day of preschool.. when we picked him up, mrs. michelle said 'other than the ants in his pants, he's very tender & compassionate'...yesterday, he showed up to school with several large bills & sagging pockets full of change (unknown to me) & proudly showed it off at school as 'his money for the book fair'



school supply shopping, the 2 hour 'warm up day' & the 'real deal' first full day...




we had our first parent/teacher conference thur nite.. mia is quite the 'mother hen' (duh) & is in the top reading group in kindergarten & top 2 in her class..her only issue she has is forgetting to clean up her crayons (whew)...so we're super proud..

late, late, late, late ,late...

ok so i know i'm horribly behind on these(july 22) but i cant not post her bday pix! our little lady is 5!!papaloo & cristin surprised all of us with a visit on her bday...

her request for her bday dinner has been cheesecake factory..we didn't realize until we were on our way that what she actually meant was the lil deli down the road from our house...

mia & reagans joint party. the girls have been friends since birth so naturally, a party together made sense...

first....birthday & haircut...

so we've been EXTREMELY busy lately with school & dance starting back up.. just trying to adjust to having to be somewhere every morning of the week has been a challenge(because little man is still nursing, that alone adds 30 minutes to morning routine) so sadly the blog has taken a backseat..so here we are labor day weekend & finally getting to catch our breath! the kids are out front playing in this incredible weather & knox is wearing out the carpet on the steps beside me..up & down he goes, he's really very good at it!

here's a few from his birthday...since mike & lance's bdays are right along with knox's, we had everyone over the night before for a lil party & of course, we carried the party right on over to the next day...

what knox's is up to lately...
*not walking :)...will stand & occasionaly take a step or 2, but otherwise seems disinterested
*saying 'thank you', hollaring 'brax', 'na-na' when protesting (no), & 'loook' when he sees trees
*makes smacking/kissing noises when he sees brix (wants a kiss from him)
*as soon as mia gets home from school, he's practically pulling her down to get in her lap(very sweet)
*anything that resembles cars/trains/motorcycles..he's pushing them around saying "bmmmbmmm"

what a sweet lil man! we're so glad to have this past year with him. he's mellow, affectionate, & an all around joy to have!

i love that he still makes this face! he used to do this before he was able to say 'hi'...he'd scrunch is nose & smile at ya..he doesn't do it as much anymore so was glad to catch this one on film..
