cheerleaders, valentines, & cupcakes..

valentines morning with treats from daddy..

mia's 'mailbox' for her valentines party at school... ever since i got 2nd place to adrianne dubois valentines mailbox in 3rd grade, i've been anticipating making (errr...'helping' mia make) one that would recuperate my losses...i think we did pretty good :)

valentines day at mia's school..

west creek basketball game..4 of the girls i coached when they were in middle school..now, they're sophmores & i'm so proud of them!

so my baby sister is officially no longer a baby..we got to celebrate her 18th bday in clarksville because we just happened to have a dance competition(promise to post pics later) here the next day...

dinner @ looking glass..

knox had been eyeing the cupcakes alllll day...look at him here, he knows hes so close to finally getting one..i warned everyone to pick one from the center because all the outside ones had little holes in them from where he'd reach up over the counter & grabbed whatever he could :)

one of my fav moments from the night.. days before, brix heard me on the phone talking about how cristin wanted an iphone so, on his own he went to get the "ipod" (not really an ipod- a free 'AARP' mp3 player that my nanny got in the mail) & gave him for christmas..he took the initiative to locate it, wrap it, & decorate a card for her all on his own.. def the most thoughtful gift of the night..

last weekend at chance & nicoles wedding shower... countdown is on!

the flower girls..

here we are with my 'papadoc' who we see so rarely..

we love our neighbors..

a boy & his blankies...he carries them around like a puppy with a ball..

we have this adorable older couple that lives across from us..they remember each of our kids birthdays & often show up at our door with goodies. here they are enjoying their valentine cupcakes from marv & dottie...

the motley crew... i knew a time would come when brix (&knox) would grow tired of the dolls & dress up in favor of football & freedom outside... i would say 90% of my friends have cutie-pa-tootie little girls & while those are good odds for matchmaking, it sure doesn't satisfy a 3yr old boy's need for a few roughhousing, dirt-loving, testosterone filled friendships... enter the picture: our adorable, sweet, calm, gentle little neighbor boys (NOT!!!!) we've been neighbors with these lil guys (& their mommies..) since we moved here 4 years ago & they don't know 'outside play' without eachother... i snapped this the other day when it was super nice out & it seemed as if the whole world came out of hiding... so glad brix has these little rascals to romp around with!

we threw together a board & some nails for them to hammer away at..
