why i love my little man...

baby boy #3

Since another little man will be joining us in a couple months , i've put together my list of

Reasons to Love Having A Two Year Old Little Boy!...

1. after being pushed, tackled, and tickled- they make it near impossible to workout using an exercise ball...thus, giving you a reason to stop...

2. they prove to you that skydiving can't be that hard...afterall, he can do they jump on flat floor...onto you...

3. they save you $$ because you no longer have a need (ok, the patience) to keep candles in the house

4. they're a great weight loss tool....all you have to do is eat dinner with them (hint: you won't do much eating)

5. you feel like you always have a secret between the two of you...whenever in public, only him and i know he's not abused...he just did one too many flips off the front steps...

6. because it's oh-so-cute when he gets confused and calls a mosquito a 'tornado'

7. the sound of legos being dumped out multiple times in an hour is pretty close to peaceful background music

8. you can feel pretty secure about their job opportunities...after all, will our world ever not need a big boy who likes to play with bulldozers?

9. unlike a little girl who needs 27 accessories, he's just fine in a diaper, if that much....

10. because he decided to help himself to the superglue isle in hobby lobby, i'm now fully equipped with enough super glue to repair my roof ( or anything else that super glue is useful for..) ...haha, now that i think of it...i'm sure i'll need it soon....

"uptown girl, she's been living in her uptown world..."

...so saturday, mia had her first public debut as a dancer at clarksville's annual street festival called 'rivers & spires' ...because mia is very much a thinker and does best when she knows fully whats going on, we have prepped her the past couple of weeks for this...telling her "you get to dance on the stage...lots of people are excited to see it...you might not be able to see mommy & daddy....etc.." well, whether it was our prepping or her inner performer, she was all to eager to get out there and boogie...she watched and waited till it was their turn...marched out there with a smile...then froze! dazed out on the crowd, she mechanically moved her arms, as if she was obligated to do something...after the initial few seconds, she loosened up and joined on in....until...someone let a batch of balloons off into the sky... every little girl stops dancing and off with the balloons floats their attention. hilarious. she kept glancing at brock & i with puzzlement as to why we were laughing so hard... all in all, i'm oh so proud not just because she stepped out and 'performed' what she'd been working on, but i'm proud of the raw honesty she possesses. regardless of what we expect out of her, she never fails to speak bluntly or act opposite of what she feels is right. it seems silly to marvel at a 3 year old, but i admire her for being such an analytical, enthusiastic little girl....enjoy the pix...

mamoo & papoo

the famous moment of spotting the balloons...

making bird food later at the festival...it was 'glued' to the bagel with crisco...i tried not to gag as brax 'cleaned' his fingers...
...so she finally got her earrings (clip on) and her cartwheels have improved and she's grown 3 inches...at least thats the impression she was under when she put them in
....and a big happy 30 to brock...we spent the afternoon with him before dropping the kids to uncle brynee & leelee and going to dinner... note to self...3 year old little girls aren't the best at keeping suprises....

this & that

little streaker...

before cell phone.....after cell phone....

brax 1st nite in big boy bed.... he chatted mia's ear off till she finally dozed off...he proudly tells us " i sleep in my NEW bed" i must say i was a bit sentimental and it is still an odd feeling as i walk past his old room with the empty crib... (sigh)all the old ladies are right... they really do grow so quickly...

i noticed this as i passed thru the laundry room... brax really is following in daddy's footsteps...hehe..i know-corny...but he really did do this on his own...

getting all those eggs ready for the easter bunny...

home sweet home...

some pix from our trip down to murfreesboro the other day...brock was out of town for the week so it was a great excuse to visit old friends...we started the morning at the discovery center...after lunch we made the trip to see my nanny...dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday...and a slumber party at meg's...by the end of it the kids were exhausted but they are still talking about it...good times...
