really? 3 am? can't this wait till morning??....

ok so everynow & then, there are nights when i wake & just CAN NOT go back to sleep so i just lay there & think...& think...& think...sometimes i'll cruise my iphone, reading blogs, checking jcrews sale section, etc, etc...so tonite (err...today..) after laying in bed for an hour or so i had to get up & write what has been on my mind lately....

with all our 'endeavors' lately, my mind has been on overload...i've volunteered myself to 'figure everything out' (ahead of time...& it better be perfect...) uhhh...well ...wake up girl, it aint always gonna be... so lately i've found myself answering our 'dilemma's' with the response "there is no way....." sometimes more like " THERE IS NO WAY!" life used to be so simple! (ie: what will mia wear today? what will i wear today? hmmm, take a walk before dinner or after? lalalalala) but now i realize our decisions are AFFECTING PEOPLE'S LIVES! i didn't ask for this, ya know....then i found myself in a head on collision with the (His) response in my heart "HE ALREADY MADE A WAY"

you see, many years (?) ago these 2 crazy cats (adam & eve) made the decision to interupt a perfect world & disobey God... thus mankind was incurably corrupt... our hearts were deemed ugly all because SIN! was introduced into the world...all because they chose to do what 'felt right' instead of what THEY KNEW WAS RIGHT! after watching for (too long) people butcher goats, bulls, birds & whatever else.. God said THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY! to be close to the hearts of the people I CREATED!

so He gave His son (HIS SON!!!!) to die & PAY for all our ugly mistakes in an effort to win over our hearts with HIS LOVE FOR US! WOW! HIS LOVE! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! (isn't that what we all are searching for?) all it requires on our part is to turn from what we know is wrong (sin) & turn to Him (as the ONLY way to God) & He accepts us, Loves us, Makes our hearts new, & Shows us WHY HE CREATED US IN THE FIRST PLACE! to live with our hearts abandoned to Him & to help others do the same! what an AMAZING LOVE!!!

so as i was laying in bed tonite thinking of all the 'what are we gonna do about_____??"'s ....& telling myself ''there's no way'' i got way too excited for 4am when i realized IF HE CAN MAKE A WAY to rescue every heart & life, then seriously, what am i whining about?? & i know He's got a solution for every (every?...ok, yeah, i guess every..) problem we will ever face...didn't He say something like, "I work all things together for your good, because you love Me & as you're called to My(His? yikes) purpose"

SO i am so challenged by this thought to TRUST(AHHH! that scary scary word TRUST) HIM to GO BEFORE me & MAKE A WAY for each & every heart breaking, gut wrenching, scary, unavoidable, impossible & complicated speed bump in this life...

egg huntin...

this was a bitter sweet day...we've had our annual easter egg hunt with these guys since mia could barely walk to get the eggs.. since 2 of our 5 families are moving (& shires already gone) we knew the likely hood of this happening next year was slim..our plan was to cookout @ our house then egg hunt @ east montgomery but we all got so comfy, we just hung around the house..

'dad of the year' award def goes to derek..neighborhood kids were coming out of nowhere to wrastle with him..here's brix & nate taking him down...

for some reason, brock's truck was the preferred playground for the day? many of them even chose to eat in the back..


knox hijacked the ball from lawson...i think lawson was taking it easy on him because he for sure couldve gotten it if he wanted..

love my easter tulips...funny story...i didn't want to plant @ our home now bc obviously we wont be here next year to enjoy them, so i snuck over to our new place & planted them there...wonder if anyone will notice??
